Broadway Construction

The City of Aurora has granted the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) permission to remove existing surface materials on Broadway Avenue (IL Route 25) during the overnight hours on Friday, September 5. The project will assist in making critical pavement repairs, while reducing the impact of traffic backups along Broadway.  
 
Although IDOT contractors will strive to mitigate the sound of the work taking place, it remains possible that noisy conditions will persist throughout the evening, affecting residential neighborhoods close to the work site.  

Both the City of Aurora and IDOT are committed to addressing the needs of residents, and will work to reduce the potential of disruptive noise in the area.  
 
The roadwork is expected to last only one night, and will conclude during the morning hours of Saturday, September 6.
