The City of Aurora is partnering with nonprofit partners Midwest Renewable Energy Association and Citizens Utility Board to bring you Switch Together, a group buying program for solar installations. Switch Together offers residents a hassle-free way to install reliable rooftop solar, battery storage, and EV charge add-ons, at a competitive price. The program is also supported by other local governments, though no government funds are used. Incentives through the Illinois Shines Program could provide 30% in savings for residents.

*2016 – Senate Bill 2814 - Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA) was signed into law emphasizing renewable development and energy efficiency in Illinois. FEJA authorized a total of $30 million to develop and establish clean energy-related job training programs for Illinois citizens. These workforce development programs offer job and skill set training in the electric and solar industry, resulting in potential job placement in the clean energy, electrical, or construction sector.
