Aurora Steam Academy

 

The Aurora STEAM Academy is a unique learning opportunity where Aurora students will explore the interconnections of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math in a co-curricular, after-school environment.

A partnership between the City of Aurora – led by the City’s IT Department and Youth Services Division – APS Training Academy and TinkRworks, the Aurora STEAM Academy provides is a free educational experience that aims to empower students and close the digital divide.

Who Can Participate?

Aurora students in K-8th Grades

When Are Sessions Held?

Classes are held throughout the year during four sessions. Each class has a maximum occupancy of 10 students. 

Where Do Classes Take Place?

Classes are held at community-based sites: 

  • APS Institute, 105 E. Galena Blvd.
  • Main Baptist Church, 814 E. Galena Blvd.

Submit an application for your student to be involved.

The application portal for each session will open two weeks prior to the starting date for the respective session.
