About Commuter Parking

The City of Aurora operates commuter parking lots at each of the Downtown and Route 59 Metra stations. At the Downtown station, commuter parking is available at the lot adjacent to the Aurora Transportation Center on the west side of the platform with additional parking available east of the platform near Spring Street and Lincoln Avenue. At the Route 59 Station, the City of Aurora operates the parking lot south of the platform.

Monthly Permit

A Monthly pass is available for $40 per month ($60 beginning February 1, 2026) at both the Downtown and Route 59 Stations; however, because of the popularity of public transit options, a waiting list may exist for monthly passes at each station. Daily Parking

Daily parking is available for $2 ($3 beginning February 1, 2026) for every 24 hours of parking at both the Downtown Station and at the Route 59 Station. Payment is required at the time you park. Commuters may pay with cash, credit card, by smartphone using the Parkmobile app.

  • Cash: Exact change is required for purchase if paying by cash. Pay at the parking terminal.

  • Credit Card: A 36-cent fee applies if paying with a credit card. Pay at the parking terminal.

  • Smartphone: A 55-cent fee applies if paying by smartphone. Download the Parkmobile app, available for Android and iPhone, and follow the on-screen instructions
