City of Aurora Set To Host Rescheduled Independence Day Fireworks Show

The City of Aurora is set to host its Independence Day Fireworks show, which was rescheduled from July 3 due to inclement weather, on Friday, July 10 from 6 P.M. to 10 P.M. at RiverEdge Park.

The event will feature music and entertainment from DJ Suavesmooth, plus a live performance from The 6050’s, a local band consisting of residents and City employees, that will showcase ‘80s, ‘90s, and 2000s music. Food trucks including A-Town Lemonade, Culinary Gangster, Dilladawgs, Doggie Diner Concessions, Kona Ice, La Michoacana, Cousins Maine Lobster, and Saavedra Tacos will be on site at Wilder Park, while Strawberries BBQ will be at RiverEdge Park to offer a diverse array of food options for those in attendance. The City’s fireworks show will begin at approximately 9:30 P.M.

A variety of parking options will also be available for those in attendance. Handicap accessible parking will be offered at the North end of the Aurora Transportation Center parking lot. The Aurora Transportation Center, in addition to City parking lots P, Y, A, X, W, and the North River Street parking lot, will all be open for attendees to park. The parking lots located at the Prisco Community Center and Cole Center Administration Office will not be available for parking during the event.

The RiverEdge Park Pedestrian Bridge will be open throughout the evening, allowing those who park on the West Side of the Fox River to cross over and watch the fireworks show from the Park.
