CyrusOne Data Center, Aurora, Illinois.

The City of Aurora is aware of emergency repair work set to take place on electrical equipment at the CyrusOne Data Center on Thursday, August 14, from 7 A.M. to 10 P.M. Although temporary sound walls are in place to minimize sound generated during the work, it is possible that noisy conditions will persist, affecting the City’s Palomino Springs neighborhood and the surrounding area.

CyrusOne will reimburse residents for the cost of an overnight hotel stay on Thursday, August 14 at any hotel in the City of Aurora. To qualify for reimbursement, a resident must reside on Molitor Road, Harris Drive, Jeanel Lane, Merle Drive, Palomino Drive, Shetland Lane, or Clara Avenue. Residents seeking reimbursement should submit a paid receipt to communities@cyrusone.com no later than Friday, September 22. CyrusOne will issue reimbursements to residents within 14 days of issuance of the paid receipt.

Both the City of Aurora and CyrusOne remain committed to working together to implement a permanent solution to the noise complaints that have affected the area. CyrusOne appreciates the community’s patience while scheduling and performing this critical work. More updates on CyrusOne’s permanent generator wall and permanent chiller sound mitigation progress are set to be shared during another resident meeting in early September.
