The City of Aurora is aware of scheduled ComEd electrical infrastructure work taking place today at the CyrusOne Data Center. As part of this scheduled maintenance, backup generators are expected to operate for approximately eight hours during daytime periods. The generators are not expected to run overnight.
CyrusOne has worked closely with ComEd to significantly reduce generator run time, minimizing the disruption to the surrounding community during this work.
This effort also supports long-term infrastructure improvements that are expected to reduce the need for generator use during future maintenance activities.
Both the City of Aurora and CyrusOne remain committed to working together to implement a permanent solution to the noise complaints that have affected the area. CyrusOne appreciates the community’s patience while scheduling and performing this critical work.
