Early Thursday morning, significant damage occurred to third-party fiber optic cables near Interstate 88, affecting the City of Aurora's internet providers. This incident resulted in the City being unable to connect to the internet, while also disabling the City's website and phone system.Thank you to the City's IT Department, internet partners, and the Illinois Tollway.

ROAD CLOSURE: West Indian Trail Just West of Highland Avenue
Beginning today, BNSF Railway will be closing its crossing at West Indian Trail, just west of Highland Avenue due to repair work. BNSF will be raising the railroad track through the crossing to help make it smoother for vehicles that travel on Indian Trail.
Traffic will be detoured to Elmwood Drive, Sullivan Road, and Highland Avenue. The work is expected to last one week.
