Kane County has launched the Conserve Water for Kane program to help households cut water use and protect the county’s water supply. Part of this program includes a toilet rebate program that offers rebates for replacing older, inefficient toilets with EPA WaterSense labeled models, helping you save water.

Toilets are one of the main sources of water used in a home, with an average family of four using 881 gallons of water per week just by flushing the toilet. Replacing a less efficient toilet with an EPA WaterSense-labeled toilet can save thousands of gallons of water each year. For example, replacing a 3.5 gallon toilet with a WaterSense-labeled model can save a household 12,000 gallons of water each year!

Funding is limited, and on a first-come, first serve basis and is being offered to all Kane County households whose homes were built before 2006.
