Early Thursday morning, significant damage occurred to third-party fiber optic cables near Interstate 88, affecting the City of Aurora's internet providers. This incident resulted in the City being unable to connect to the internet, while also disabling the City's website and phone system.Thank you to the City's IT Department, internet partners, and the Illinois Tollway.

TODAY: Open House For Montgomery Road and Hill Avenue
Join the City of Aurora's Engineering Division tomorrow for an open house to present information on the preliminary engineering study of improvements to the intersection of Montgomery Road and Hill Avenue.
The proposed improvements include roadway widening and reconstruction of Montgomery Road from Hill Avenue to Farnsworth Avenue, including bicycle and pedestrian accommodations.
Members of the public may stop by City Hall (44 E. Downer Place, 5th Floor Conference Room) anytime between 5 P.M. and 7 P.M. to offer feedback on the project, as well as have questions answered by City staff.
