The work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing and installing well collector piping, valves, flow meter, three precast vaults, installing a sampling station provided by Owner, and accessories; electrical components and electrical equipment building; storm sewer piping and structures; access road construction; landscaping and site restoration; coordination with other contractors as needed for installation and testing of a submersible well pump and motor provided by others; and all other work noted in the contract documents, for new Well No. 105 located as shown in the drawings, south of Aurora Fire Station No. 10, on the southeast corner of Orchard Road and Illinois Avenue, at 2390 W. Illinois Ave., Aurora, IL 60506.
A pre-bid meeting will be held February 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time at the City of Aurora Water Treatment Plant, 1111 Aurora Avenue, Aurora IL 60505, followed by a site visit of the project site. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is not mandatory.
The City of Aurora encourages minority business firms to submit bids and encourages the successful bidder to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services and construction.
The City of Aurora has a local preference ordinance that would apply to this contract.
