National Night Out

Neighbors throughout Aurora are coming together to celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

The City of Aurora’s National Night Out is held annually on the first Tuesday in August, with events taking place across all ten wards. Each celebration encourages residents to come outside and spend the evening getting to know their neighbors, community partners, public safety, elected officials and city staff.

Due to limited funding, sites will be awarded on a first come first served basis.

If you would like to participate by hosting an event site for the 2026 City of Aurora National Night out, please complete the application below. ALL sections must be completed to successfully register your site.

The Community Engagement team will review all submissions to ensure all required steps have been completed and will follow up if any additional information is needed.

National Night Out Event Eligibility Policy – City of Aurora

To ensure equitable access and community participation, all National Night Out events hosted within the City of Aurora must be open and accessible to the general public. Events may not be restricted to a private group, organization, or membership-only audience.

Furthermore, any organization or individual seeking funding through the City of Aurora’s National Night Out program must host their event within the official municipal boundaries of the City of Aurora. Funding requests for events located outside of the City of Aurora limits will not be considered or approved.

Submission of an application constitutes acknowledgment and agreement to comply with these requirements. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in denial of funding or disqualification from participation in the City of Aurora’s National Night Out program.
