Aurora Pooch Parade

Join the City of Aurora as we celebrate our favorite furry friends! The 6th annual Aurora Pooch Parade will take place on Sunday, October 6th, beginning at 11:00 AM at Sunken Garden of Phillips Park in Aurora (1000 May Roses Dr, Aurora, IL 60505) 

To enter:

  • All dogs must be current on vaccinations.

  • All must be socialized.

  • All must have a standard leash while at the event.

  • An application must be submitted by Wednesday, October 2nd.

The first 125 registrants are guaranteed a spot in the Parade and can compete for one of the following titles:

  • Biggest Dog

  • Smallest Dog

  • Best Costume

  • Twinsies (Owner & Dog)

  • Most Energetic 

  • Fan Favorite

Event Application Goes live on September 6th, 2025

We welcome all dogs who were unable to register for participation to come out to Phillips Park, mingle with the other dogs, experience the parade, and check out the many pet vendors we'll have:

  • VCA Aurora Animal Hospital

  • Woof Woof Creations

  • Fat Sam's 

  • Bosco's All Naturals

  • AK9 Academy 

Aurora Animal Care and Control will be on-site providing FREE microchipping as well as taking donations for dog and cat food, toys, treats, etc.!
