Hey, Kane County Residents
We're excited to share that you now have more options to recycle paint and home coatings, thanks to a new program offering 16 retail drop-off sites in and near the county. The program accepts all types of house paint, including latex and oil, so there's no need to separate your materials. Additionally, the sites take wood stains, floor coatings, and sealants/resins.
There is no fee to drop off materials, but a quantity limit of five gallons per visit applies, with one visit per household per day. Commercial painters and businesses are welcome to use the drop-offs, following the same limits. For larger volumes over 100 gallons, participants can arrange a special large-volume pickup.
For a full list of participating locations and additional details, visit Kane County's paint recycling page: https://www.kanecountyil.gov/Recycling/Pages/paint.aspx.
