Mayor John Laesch Secures $360,000 Donation Of Personal Protective Equipment For City Warming Center and Area Nonprofits   

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: December 10, 2025  

Aurora, Ill. – Mayor John Laesch has secured a $360,000 donation of personal protective equipment (PPE) from Aurora-based packaging company Teinnovations to help shield residents of the City’s temporary overnight warming center and local nonprofits from the spread of disease this Winter.

Laesch partnered with Teinnovations Founder Daniel Tein to obtain the contribution, which serves as one of the largest donations of PPE in City history. Both Laesch and Tein will host a ceremony to commemorate the donation on Thursday, December 11 at 11 A.M. at Teinnovations’ global headquarters.“This generous and unprecedented donation will help those who are most vulnerable feel safe and protected this Winter,” Mayor Laesch said. “I appreciate Teinnovations’ assistance in caring for our residents, while continuing to invest in our community.”  

Located at 700 N. Commerce Street, Teinnovations is an innovative, best in class packaging material and solutions provider. The company is uniquely equipped with many years of experience in applied packaging technology and food science to provide solutions for projects that consist of packaging material and its application and service. 

“Teinnovations is honored to make this donation to the City of Aurora,” Tein said. “We enjoyed collaborating with Mayor Laesch on this initiative, and look forward to continuing to invest in and care for those who call Aurora home.”

The PPE will be utilized at the City’s temporary overnight warming center, which opens at 712 S. River Street when overnight temperatures dip below 32 degrees Fahrenheit or during wind chill advisories. The City will also partner with nonprofits such as Hesed House to help further distribute the PPE. 

Members of the media are invited to attend the donation ceremony, which will include remarks from Mayor John Laesch and Teinnovations Founder Daniel Tein, plus feature a tour of the nearly-120,000 square-foot facility.
