1. Rosary College Prep

Clara Bello ‘27 and Izzy Tolentino ‘28 competed at the iFlag Flag Football World Championships in Tampa! Both students had a full day of competition and repped their Rosary pride between matches.

2. Community Unit School District 308

After finishing as the Sectional Runner-Up in her class, Ella Cooper of Oswego East High School is headed to the IHSA Girls Wrestling State Tournament!

3. Waubonsee Community College

WCC women’s basketball player Anna-Marie Godina became the all-time leader in 3pt baskets made!

Niallie “Nia” Evans was named the NJCAA Division women’s basketball Player of the Week for the first week in February! Evans currently leads all NJCAA Division II players with 179 total assists and is the second nationally, averaging 6.9 assists per game.

4. Aurora Central Catholic

The Aurora Central Catholic Dance Team had an amazing performance at State Finals! The performers persevered to make it to the State competition and place 14th. Way to go, Chargers.

5. Aurora Christian Schools

Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach, Dane Beebe, reached 200 wins as! Congrats on this incredible milestone.

6. IMSA

The Boys Basketball team made school history this season by advancing to the Little 10 Conference Championship game! The Titans competed with heart and determination, upsetting the top-seeded Newark Norsemen to reach the championship, where they finished as conference runners-up to Indian Creek. Neil Sitapara ‘26 led the Titans with seven points, along with four rebounds and three steals. Lota Onwuameze ‘27 and Mofe Suleiman ‘26 each scored six points, with Onwuameze securing five rebounds.

7. Aurora University

Aurora University Boys Basketball hit their longest win streak in program history with 15 in a row! Way to go, Spartans.

8. Batavia School District 101

Batavia High School’s Dance Team competed in the State Competition, after earning their spot in one of the toughest Sectional Tournaments in Illinois.

These dancers work hard, support one another, and lift each other up each step of the way. Way to go, Bulldogs!

9. East Aurora School District 131

The EAHS Wrestling Program won their Conference Tournament for the 4th consecutive year!

At the Upstate Eight Conference, the team scored a total score of 203, becoming conference champions.

10. Indian Prairie School District 204

Neuqua Valley High School senior, Ryker Quatrini, advanced to the IHSA State Series after a stellar performance at the Sectionals Competition.

West Aurora High School.

Students at West High helped make history by participating in a world-record pickleball lesson with 446 official participating across multiple venues—including 54 from West High!

Students and staff—including beloved, retiring P.E. teacher, Thane Halstead—broke the Guiness World Record for the largest pickleball lesson across multiple locations!
