The City of Aurora and other partners have programs that can help you purchase a home in Aurora!

The Choose Aurora Homebuyer Assistance Program is funded by a mix of federal and local funding. This program offers up to $27,000 in homebuyer assistance. and homebuyers must be at or below 120% of the Area Median Income (AMI) to qualify. Below is the income limits by household size for 120% AMI.

The amount of assistance provided will be determined by city staff. Homebuyer counseling by a HUD-certified Housing Counselor working for a recognized HUD approved housing counseling agency is required.

The property must remain the primary residence of the homebuyer, and then once sold or the deed changes names, the deferred loan would be repaid back to the City of Aurora.
