The following are occupancy standards from the Aurora Property Maintenance Code:

Minimum Occupant Requirements

Living Room	120 Sq. Ft.	120 Sq. Ft.	150 Sq. Ft.
Dining Room	No requirements	80 Sq. Ft.	100 Sq. Ft.

Bedrooms

• Bedrooms for one person must be a minimum of 70 Sq. Ft. 

• bedrooms for two or more persons must be a minimum of 50 Sq. Ft. for each person. 

• Property zoned single family may not have apartments added. 

• Apartments may not be established in the basement or attic of any residence.
