EPA Grant Application
The City of Aurora intends to submit an application to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for a Fiscal Year 2026 Office of Brownfields and Land Revitalization Brownfield Cleanup Grant. This grant will support environmental remediation activities at the following Downtown Aurora properties to facilitate their safe reuse and future community growth:
- 13 and 15-17 S. Broadway
- 16 S. LaSalle Street
- 101 N. River Street
- 63-65 E. Downer Place
Individuals wishing to provide comments may do so in any of the following ways:
- Attend the public meeting and share comments in person
- Email comments to grants@aurora.il.us
- Complete the online survey
Public Meeting Details
Location: 3rd floor, David L. Pierce Art and History Center, 20 E. Downer Place, Aurora, IL 60505
Date and Time: Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
No advance registration is required. All Aurora residents and stakeholders are encouraged to attend. The facility is ADA accessible and Spanish-language interpretation will be available.
Public Review and Comment
A copy of the draft grant application and draft Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives (ABCAs) are available for public review and comment beginning Tuesday, January 13th at:
