Mobile/Express Consulate Initiative

Welcome to the City of Aurora’s Mobile/Express Consulate Program!

The City of Aurora’s Community Services Department is excited to announce the launch of the inaugural Mobile/Express Consulate Program. Designed to provide essential consular services in an accessible and welcoming environment, this program aims to reduce travel barriers for Aurora’s community - particularly our elderly, disabled, and working families. 

This is a partnership with the Aurora Public Library District. 

Our Vision: Through this program, we aim to reduce barriers for Aurora residents by offering services, that support their busy lives

Program Details

Location: Aurora Public Library District - Santori Library, located at 101 S. River Street, Aurora, IL 60506

Program Schedule

Setup: 8 A.M.
Event Start: 9:30 A.M.
Clean-Up: Approximately 1.5 to 2 hours before library closes
Library Hours: Monday-Thursday, closes at 9 P.M., Friday-Sunday, closes at 5 P.M.

Room Reservations

Rooms will be allocated based on expected attendance. Each consulate must set up a registration table and is encouraged to bring bilingual materials in both English and the consulate’s official language.

How to Register as a Participating Consulate

Consulates interested in joining this initiative should register at least 4 months in advance to ensure adequate preparation. Please complete the registration form and coordinate with our team for further details.

Consulate Reminders

  • Bring a printer, if possible (pay-for-use printers also available onsite).

  • Disclose any fees and accepted payment methods (cash, credit, etc.) to attendees.

  • Adhere to all program terms and conditions.

  • Dedicated Wi-Fi Hotspot: Reliable internet access for processing document or payments. 

  • Audio-Visual Equipment: Projector screens and whiteboards for presentations/information sharing. 

  • On-Site Support: Assistance with event-day logistics, ensuring a smooth experience.

  • Convenient Facilities: E.g. Tables, chairs, and reserved space as needed, based on expected attendance.

Free parking is available at the library’s parking lot on a first-come, first-served basis. The mobile consulate event will be held at the Aurora Public Library District’s Santori Branch - 101 S River St, Aurora, IL 60506.
