Fiestas Patrias
The City of Aurora, in partnership with the Aurora Hispanic Heritage Advisory Board, will celebrate Fiestas Patrias 2025 with a full weekend of festivities, including a FREE all-day celebration on Saturday, September 6, and, for the first time since 2019, a parade in downtown Aurora on Sunday, September 7.
Saturday Festival at Wilder Park
The celebration kicks off on Saturday at Wilder Park (350 N. River Street) from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will be FREE to the general public.
The festival will feature seven live performances, including the critically acclaimed Los Sementales De Nuevo León, Banda Portillos, and Jose Luis Duval.
Guests can also enjoy some of the area’s finest food vendors and the traditional El Grito de Independencia ceremony.

Sunday Parade in Downtown Aurora
On Sunday, September 7, the Fiestas Patrias Parade will return to downtown Aurora, stepping off at 11:00 a.m. from the corner of Broadway (IL Route 25) and Benton Street.
Following a public nomination process, longtime community member and East Aurora School District Board Member Saúl Olivas has been named Parade Grand Marshal.
